Purpose of the role:

The Environment Health & Safety (EH&S) production lead takes ownership to embed a firm and strong safety culture on the shopfloor. He/she is implementing monitoring and continuously improving EHS practices on the shopfloor.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Advise and support the plant management in implementing the groupEnvironmentHealth & Safety policies and ensuring application of EHS procedures inBelgium

• Helpsdevelopingandimplementingthe EHS planon theshopfloor ensuringtheculture is intrinsic within the organization in close collaboration with the Leadership team

• Provides advice and guidance toOMT and especially first line leadershipon all EHS and legislative issues ensuring that good andtimelybusiness decisions are made.

• Identifiesand records EHS training needs along with Line Managers providing training and development ason a company departmental and individual level.

• Conduct daily tours of the factory or plant facilities performing unplanned inspections and safety observations.

• Responsible for ensuring Accident Investigation and Reporting requirements are carried out and thatappropriate correctiveactions are agreed and completedin a timely manner.

• Maintain theemergency response plan making sure it is shared understood and effectively applied in case of emergencies

• Support and ensurethat allkindof risk assessments are carried out asand that the site acts on any recommendations made to reduce harmful exposures andensuringimplementation of therecommendations.

• Coordinateor supportthe H&S committee meetingson a monthly basisensuring consistent progress is made towards the actions

Functional knowledge:

• Hands-onwith great ability to deal with people at all levels of the organizationisessential

• Proven experience of changing culture in relation to EHS

• Experience of delivering training and development

• Good up to date knowledge ofBEH&S law

• Bachelor Level Master in Health & Safety

• Good levelof PC literacy

• Familiarity with safety management systems (e.g. ISO 45001 ISO 14001).
