About the job

As Client Solutions Engineer, you will support transport solutions across Bleckmann’s international customer base. You will work with customer requirements, shipment data, commercial expectations, transport pricing, carrier options, systems and onboarding needs.

Your role is to understand what the customer is asking for, review the available data and translate this into practical solution input for RFQs, RFPs, tenders, proposals and existing client optimisations.

You will work closely with Business Owners, Sales, Transport Pricing, Transport Onboarding, Carrier Management, Customs, Linehaul & Network, Engineering and operational teams. You help make sure that transport solutions are clear, realistic and ready to be priced, proposed and implemented.

Your role

As a Client Solutions Engineer, you support the design and development of transport solutions for both new and existing clients. You analyse customer requirements, evaluate transport scenarios and ensure that all relevant stakeholders are aligned throughout the solution design process.

You play a key role in creating clarity, identifying dependencies and translating customer needs into practical and scalable transport solutions.

Transport requests are becoming more complex. Customers expect good answers, reliable options and solutions that work across countries, carriers, systems and operations.

As Client Solutions Engineer, you help create clarity. You make sure that the customer need is understood, the right stakeholders are involved and key assumptions are visible before decisions are made.

Your work supports better customer proposals, smoother handovers and stronger internal alignment between commercial and operational teams.

Your responsibilities

- Analyzing customer data, order profiles, shipment profiles and transport requirements
- Interpreting customer needs and translating them into practical transport solution scenarios
- Supporting RFQs, RFPs, tenders and customer proposals with transport solution input
- Designing or supporting solutions for outbound, returns, parcels, pallets and linehaul where relevant
- Acting as the link between Business Owners, Sales and Transport Pricing
- Aligning requirements with Transport Pricing, Transport Onboarding, Carrier Management, Customs, Sales, Linehaul & Network, Engineering and operational teams
- Identifying gaps, assumptions, risks and dependencies in customer requests and solution designs
- Documenting key assumptions, decisions and open points clearly
- Supporting existing client optimizations by reviewing current transport setups and identifying improvement opportunities
- Preparing transport solution input for customer-facing proposals, internal reviews and handovers
- Contributing to better data quality, reporting discipline and AI-readiness within Transport
- Helping improve the way Transport Solutions works by challenging existing processes, templates and ways of working

Your profile

We are looking for someone with experience in transport, logistics or supply chain who combines analytical thinking with strong stakeholder management.

You are able to work with data, understand customer requirements, ask the right questions and turn complex input into clear solution direction. You do not just process requests; you take ownership and help improve the way we work.

You are comfortable working with different teams and know how to balance customer expectations, operational reality and cost considerations.

What you bring

- Experience in transport, logistics, supply chain or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with customer data, order profiles and shipment data
- Good understanding of transport solutions, carrier setups, parcel and pallet flows and operational dependencies
- Commercial awareness and the ability to understand customer and business needs
- Strong stakeholder management skills across commercial, operational and technical teams
- Ability to ask critical questions when input is unclear or incomplete
- Ownership mindset and the drive to follow up open points
- Ability to bring structure in complex or unclear situations
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Experience with TMS, WMS and/or label platforms is preferred
- Technical understanding of APIs, integrations or system dependencies is an advantage
- Affinity with data, reporting, AI, LLMs or smart tooling is a strong plus
- Fluent English is required
- Dutch is an advantage for candidates based in the Netherlands or Belgium
