To strengthen our talented teams, we are currently looking for a:

PRODUCTION AREA MANAGER

As a true orchestrator of your sector, you lead, develop, and improve the operations of one or more production sectors, from the transformation of raw materials to obtaining finished or semi-finished products that comply with expected standards. You guarantee, through team coordination and mastery of daily activities, the achievement of departmental objectives in terms of safety, quality, productivity, costs, and deadlines.

You report to the Production Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop the department to optimize its functioning through the continuous improvement of processes.
• Optimize "product" and "resource" planning to achieve the best efficiency.
• Ensure the proper functioning of production equipment by working with other departments to resolve recurring issues to improve equipment.
• Supervise and develop production management.
• Optimize cross-functionality and cooperation with various internal departments including HSE, Maintenance, Planning, Logistics, and Quality.
• Monitor and respect established KPIs

Safety & Quality

• Deploy the safety, health, quality, hygiene, and well-being policy within your scope.
• With the maintenance and engineering department, ensure the identification and prevention of risks, the application of procedures, and the maintenance of a safe, clean, and respectful working environment.
• Support teams by ensuring their awareness and involvement in prevention and best practices.
• Monitor incidents/accidents and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal and external prevention stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance of finished products and industrial processes.

Your profile:

• Master's degree in engineering (civil, industrial, chemical, bio-engineer...)
• Proven experience in team management or coordination.
• A true positive leader, capable of guiding, uniting, inspiring, and developing their team.
• Minimum 3 years of experience – experience in the food industry is a plus
• Sense of organization and communication, interpersonal skills
• Analytical mind and proactive approach
• Proficiency in continuous improvement approaches such as Lean.
• Very good knowledge of French + Dutch and/or English
• Open to change and ready to commit to it. Change management certification is a plus.
