Business analyst payment

Nexeo is currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst – Instant Payments to join the Payments team of one of our leading banking clients in Brussels.

You will join a strategic payments environment focused on the coordination and delivery of Instant Payments solutions. You will work closely with Product Owners, IT squads, Operations and business stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives from business requirements through IT solution design and implementation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with strong knowledge of SEPA / Instant Payments, who is comfortable working in complex, cross-functional environments and acting as a bridge between business and IT.

Your Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

• Analyze business needs and translate them into clear, structured and actionable business requirements.
• Gather, challenge and validate requirements with business stakeholders, IT teams and Operations.
• Ensure that business requirements are aligned with strategic objectives, product roadmaps and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate business requirements into functional needs for IT and Operations teams.
• Ensure requirements are clearly documented and traceable throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Feature & Delivery Management

• Own and follow up on the delivery of opus and features, ensuring alignment with the roadmap and business objectives.
• Monitor progress, dependencies, risks and open points throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Act as a key point of contact for assigned features and initiatives.
• Gather feedback from different stakeholders and challenge assumptions to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Support initiatives from the initial analysis and design phases through to implementation and Go-Live.
• Provide ad-hoc support during delivery and implementation activities.

Stakeholder Management & Workshops

• Act as the liaison between the business community, IT and Operations.
• Organize and lead meetings, workshops and working sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Cash Management, different business lines, Product Architects, IT squads and Operations.
• Facilitate discussions to reach alignment on business requirements and solution design.
• Coordinate stakeholders involved in the end-to-end solution.
• Communicate complex business and technical topics clearly to different audiences.

Solution Design & IT Collaboration

• Work closely with the Product Owner and IT squads throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to the design and validation of IT solutions based on business requirements.
• Ensure that proposed solutions effectively address business needs and operational requirements.
• Support IT teams during development, testing and implementation.
• Participate in solution validation and testing activities.
• Ensure business expectations are correctly translated into the final solution.

Payments & Regulatory Initiatives

• Contribute to strategic initiatives related to SEPA and Instant Payments.
• Analyze the impact of regulatory and business changes on payment processes and systems.
• Collaborate with different tribes and métiers to assess end-to-end impacts and dependencies.
• Support the implementation of new payment-related requirements and regulatory initiatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of payment products and processes.

Your Profile

• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Proven experience working on SEPA, Instant Payments, payment projects or regulatory initiatives.
• Strong experience in business analysis and requirements management.
• Good understanding of payment processing and workflow processes.
• Experience working in complex environments involving multiple business and technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to act as a bridge between Business, IT and Operations.
• Experience working with Product Owners and IT delivery teams.
• Strong experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of initiatives from analysis through delivery.

Technical Skills

Mandatory:

• Experience with conceptual modelling techniques and methods.
• Good understanding of IT environments and testing processes.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional and IT requirements.
• Ability to understand and contribute to IT solution design discussions.

Nice to have:

• Good knowledge of Agile ways of working.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum teams and product delivery.
• Experience with payment-related IT systems and platforms.
