About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Documentation & Training Officer to create high-quality user documentation, training materials, and e-learning content for Information Systems (IS) and ICT solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring users can effectively adopt and use digital solutions through clear documentation, engaging training programs, and multimedia learning resources.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Develop and maintain user manuals, quick reference guides, FAQs, knowledge articles, and tutorials for information systems.
• Create and manage online help systems integrated with applications, ensuring accessibility and context-sensitive support.
• Produce clear, user-friendly documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain documentation standards, style guides, templates, and content governance practices.
• Manage documentation lifecycle activities, including version control, review processes, translation coordination, publishing, and distribution.

Training & Learning Development

• Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led and e-learning training programs for Information Systems.
• Create training materials, exercises, assessments, and learning resources.
• Develop and maintain e-learning modules using modern learning technologies.
• Translate business and functional requirements into practical learning content and user guides.
• Support user adoption initiatives through effective training delivery and knowledge transfer.

Multimedia Content Creation

• Produce screen recordings and software demonstration videos.
• Create and edit professional training videos incorporating graphics, audio narration, captions, and accessibility features.
• Develop engaging multimedia tutorials to support user learning and system adoption.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, analysts, and developers to ensure technical accuracy and completeness of content.
• Participate in multilingual and multicultural project environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation and training processes.

Required Qualifications

• Experience creating end-user documentation for Information Systems or ICT solutions.
• Knowledge of collaborative authoring platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Experience with professional authoring and documentation tools such as:
• MadCap Flare
• Adobe Technical Communication Suite
• Markdown
• Confluence
• Experience with e-learning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as:
• Articulate 360
• Adobe Captivate
• Moodle
• Experience using screen recording and video editing software such as:
• Camtasia
• Adobe Premiere Rush

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of HTML, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of content governance and digital knowledge management.
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise IT environments.

Preferred Certifications

One or more of the following certifications would be an advantage:

• CompTIA CTT+
• ATD Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD)
• ECQA Certified Technical Writer
• IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC)
