Are you an experienced MES professional looking to develop your career within a leading consulting environment? I am supporting the expansion of a specialist Life Sciences MES team in Belgium, working with leading pharmaceutical and biotech organisations on digital manufacturing and MES transformation projects.

We are looking for consultants with hands-on MES implementation experience who are comfortable working in regulated manufacturing environments and are passionate about technology, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Pharmaceutical experience is a major advantage, particularly experience working with MES within GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.

The team works across multiple client sites and projects in Belgium, with opportunities to gain exposure to different manufacturing environments, technologies and challenges.

Experience with Werum PAS-X is particularly relevant, alongside other life sciences MES platforms.

Your Role

As an MES Consultant, you will contribute to the design, implementation and delivery of MES solutions for pharmaceutical and life sciences clients.

Depending on your experience and the project, responsibilities may include:

• Designing and configuring MES solutions within life sciences manufacturing environments
• Performing MBR (Master Batch Record) modelling and recipe design
• Supporting MES implementation, testing, deployment and go-live activities
• Working directly with client stakeholders and manufacturing users
• Supporting requirements gathering and design workshops
• Translating manufacturing requirements into effective MES solutions
• Supporting validation and verification activities, including MBR and EBR verification
• Troubleshooting MES-related issues and supporting continuous improvement
• Collaborating with IT, Engineering, QA, Validation and Manufacturing teams
• Contributing to projects from initial requirements through to implementation and ongoing support

The role offers the opportunity to work across different client environments, so adaptability and the ability to quickly understand new processes and technologies are important.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• 2+ years' hands-on experience working with MES
• Practical experience with MES implementation
• Hands-on MBR modelling / recipe design experience
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
• Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Fluent English
• Comfortable working in a client-facing consulting environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different client environments

Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Experience

Pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing experience is a strong advantage.

Experience working within GMP / GxP environments and an understanding of validation, data integrity and regulated manufacturing processes would be highly beneficial.

Desirable

• Werum PAS-X experience
• Experience with other life sciences MES platforms such as PharmaSuite or similar
• MBR / EBR verification experience
• MES installation or technical infrastructure experience
• CSV / validation experience
• Experience integrating MES with ERP, automation or other manufacturing systems
• Previous consulting experience
• Dutch, Flemish and/or French language skills

You are technically strong but also enjoy working with people.

You can understand a client's manufacturing challenge, ask the right questions and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

You are comfortable working with different stakeholders and can adapt your communication depending on whether you are speaking with a manufacturing operator, technical specialist, QA professional, IT team or senior client stakeholder.

You don't need to know every technology already. A willingness to learn and the ability to approach unfamiliar problems logically are equally important.

Location & Travel

The role is based across client sites in Belgium.

You should expect to be on client site approximately 3 days per week, depending on the requirements of your project.

Projects may involve travel to different locations across Belgium, with additional travel possible depending on client and project requirements.

Flexibility around travel and working across different client environments is therefore important.
