Financial Controller | From Numbers to Business Impact

Our client, an IT & digital solutions company in the Brussels periphery, is looking for a Financial Controller to strengthen its finance organisation. Why apply? As Financial Controller, you will join a professional yet hands-on environment where Finance is closely connected to the business. Rather than focusing exclusively on reporting, you will have the opportunity to understand the operational side of the company, challenge existing processes and provide management with meaningful financial insights. The position offers considerable autonomy and visibility within the organisation, with regular interaction with management as well as Sales and operational teams. As Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include: Monitoring financial performance and preparing monthly and quarterly management reporting; Preparing budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections and following up on deviations; Analysing financial and operational KPIs and translating them into actionable insights for management; Acting as a financial business partner and supporting management in strategic and operational decision-making; Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and cost control; Supporting and improving financial, administrative and operational processes; Coordinating the financial and administrative aspects of commercial projects and larger client dossiers; Working closely with Sales, operational teams and the Back Office to ensure accurate follow-up of projects and processes; Supporting and coordinating the Back Office on daily operations and more complex files; Participating in the optimisation of ERP, CRM and other business systems; Monitoring supplier agreements, contractual conditions and budgets to identify and mitigate financial risks; Contributing to broader Finance and business improvement projects as the organisation continues to develop. Experience: You have previous experience within financial controlling, business controlling, accounting or another analytical finance position and are comfortable working with reporting, budgets and financial analysis. Languages: You have a professional command of Dutch and French; additional languages are an asset. Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. Strong Excel skills are expected; experience with an ERP such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus.
