BXVentures Advisory is the consulting arm that sells strategic foresight, feasibility and technology assessment, transformation, and venture and ecosystem creation to industrial corporates. Its core assets are TechAtlas - a proprietary database mapping 38,000+ deep tech and climate tech companies with TRL scoring and real-time market sentiment - an AI-native delivery engine, the BXVentures venture-building method, and Squads of 150+ domain experts deployable at short notice.

Launched this year, BXVentures is now moving into its next phase of growth — and building the senior commercial capability to get there. They are hiring a Principal, a senior professional able to open doors into the industrial C-suite across Flanders, the Netherlands and France, and turn technology conviction into signed mandates.

The role

Position BXVentures Advisory as the innovation brand - from signal to scale

• Own the narrative in market: BXVentures Advisory is where industrial leaders see what is emerging, decide what to back, and get it built
• Represent the firm at industrial and sector platforms, federations, technology days and closed CEO formats in Flanders, the Netherlands and France
• Build a personal publishing and speaking

Commercialise TechAtlas and the advisory offerings

• Turn TechAtlas from a proprietary tool into a sold offering: technology scouting mandates, TRL and feasibility assessments, make-or-buy-or-build decisions, watchlists and radar subscriptions
• Package and price recurring offers rather than one-off studies, and defend value-based pricing against day-rate benchmarking
• Convert first assignments into multi-year programmes with a named executive sponsor

Open CEO-level conversations around the venture portfolio

• Match portfolio ventures and analysed technologies to the decarbonisation, cost and asset-reliability agendas of large industrial groups
• Initiate and carry discussions with executive committees on pilots, co-development, first industrial references and, where relevant, corporate venturing positions
• Feed the studio back: bring the industrial pull signals that tell which technologies deserve to become companies

Build and run the commercial engine

• Own a personal target for signed advisory revenue in France and Benelux, with a qualified pipeline reviewed with the Partners
• Structure the account plan for a focused set of anchor accounts
• Contribute to delivery quality on the engagements you sell

Contribute as a member of the firm

• Co-build new offers with the Partners and the Squad network, and help recruit and mentor consultants
• Act as an owner: the compensation model is designed so that firm profitability and personal income move together

The Profile

• Native Dutch, with professional French and English used daily with clients. The Flemish and Dutch industrial market is the core hunting ground.
• Civil engineer (burgerlijk ingenieur / ingénieur civil) or PhD in a hard science or engineering discipline.
• Substantial seniority in heavy, chemical or process industry — operations, engineering, technology, innovation or business roles inside industrial groups, not only advising them.
• A live, personal address book at plant manager, technical director, innovation director, COO and CEO level across Benelux and ideally France
• A demonstrable track record of opening doors and closing business
• Comfortable with an independent status, variable income, and a small firm with no inbound machine behind them. xqknzec
• Able to hold a technical conversation with an R&D director and a value conversation with a CFO in the same meeting.

Strongly preferred

• Exposure to decarbonisation, energy efficiency, electrification, water or circularity agendas inside an industrial group
• Experience of a corporate venturing, open innovation, technology scouting or M and A function
• Prior experience in a consulting or engineering firm, provided it sits on top of real industrial line experience
