About the job

At Bleckmann, we are building a dedicated AI capability to drive innovation and efficiency across our global operations. As an AI Developer, you will translate business challenges into intelligent solutions using AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Microsoft Copilot technologies.

Working closely with business stakeholders, Data Engineers, IT teams, and external partners, you will help shape the future of AI within an international and fast-growing organization.

Your role

As an AI Developer, you design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions that improve business processes, enhance decision-making, and create measurable value.

You will work on innovative use cases, intelligent agents, AI automations, and machine learning applications while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Your responsibilities

AI Solution Development

• Design, develop and implement AI, Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions based on business needs and strategic priorities.
• Build scalable AI applications, intelligent agents and automation workflows that create measurable business value.
• Develop, test, deploy and maintain AI models and AI-powered solutions, ensuring reliability, performance and scalability.
• Translate prototypes and Proof of Concepts into business-ready applications that can be adopted across the organization.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing business processes, systems and reporting environments.
• Continuously optimize and improve existing AI solutions based on performance, user feedback and evolving business requirements.

Business Partnership & Use Case Development

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, decision-making and customer experience.
• Translate complex business challenges into practical and sustainable AI solutions.
• Assess the feasibility, expected impact and business value of new AI initiatives.
• Support the definition and prioritization of the AI roadmap by contributing ideas, expertise and innovation opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions and AI discovery initiatives to help business teams uncover new use cases.

Data & AI Engineering

• Work closely with Data Engineers and BI teams to leverage reliable, governed and business-aligned data sources.
• Design feature engineering and data preparation logic to ensure optimal model performance.
• Ensure AI solutions are integrated efficiently within the broader data ecosystem and existing platforms.
• Contribute to the development of reusable AI components, frameworks and best practices.
• Help ensure AI solutions are built on high-quality, trustworthy and scalable data foundations.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay up to date with the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI and Agentic AI.
• Explore new technologies, platforms and methodologies to continuously improve AI capabilities within Bleckmann.
• Evaluate innovative tools and concepts through experiments, pilots and Proof of Concepts.
• Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.
• Contribute to building a culture of innovation, experimentation and continuous learning.

Governance & Responsible AI

• Ensure all AI solutions comply with governance, security, privacy and data protection requirements.
• Apply responsible AI principles, including transparency, explainability and reliability.
• Validate outputs and implement safeguards to minimize risks such as hallucinations, bias or incorrect recommendations.
• Document solutions, assumptions and limitations to ensure transparency and maintainability.
• Support the organization's commitment to trustworthy and responsible AI adoption.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, Data Engineers and external partners to successfully deliver AI initiatives.
• Contribute actively within an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Communicate progress, risks, dependencies and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
• Support solution deployment, user adoption and continuous improvement after go-live.

Your profile

What you bring

• Experience with Python, SQL, and AI/ML development
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, or Copilot solutions
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, RAG, Embeddings, and Vector Search
• Experience working with cloud platforms and data environments such as Snowflake
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate business needs into practical AI solutions
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
• Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and emerging AI technologies

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake AI capabilities (Cortex, Snowpark)
• Experience with MLOps and model lifecycle management
• Experience within logistics, supply chain, or operational environments
• Knowledge of AI governance, GDPR, and responsible AI practices
