Technical Lead

Mission Overview:

Join Keystone Solutions as a consultant to deliver a Technical Lead mission for our client. You will operate within a consultancy framework, working closely with stakeholders at the client site to steer architecture, uphold codebase integrity, and enable delivery excellence. All responsibilities listed below will be performed as a Keystone Solutions consultant, collaborating directly with the client's teams and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Architecture Ownership: Own the software architecture of the solution in the running delivery context and make sure what is actually built matches it, including handling deviation and technical debt.
• Codebase Integrity: Guard the integrity of the codebase: remove duplication, maximise reuse, keep the solution modular, lean and easy to onboard into.
• Reuse Before Build: Check every new story against what already exists in the codebase, so new work reuses what is there instead of rebuilding it.
• Standards Enforcement: Set and enforce verifiable standards for security, performance and scalability (review checklists, static analysis, quality gates, architecture decision records).
• Solution Detailing: Detail the high level solution produced by the Solution Architect into a design that the development team, infra team and 3rd party vendors can execute.
• Enterprise Compliance: Ensure the solution implementation adheres to technology, infra and security standards of customer enterprise, and adapt the design based on non-functional test results.
• Requirement Shaping: Work with the technical product manager and QA lead to shape user stories into work the team can execute, challenging assumptions and pushing towards the best available option rather than the first one on the table.
• Dependency Management: Identify dependencies on other systems, teams, vendors, data and infrastructure early, and drive them to resolution before they block a sprint.
• Delivery Tooling: Set up and improve the environments, pipelines and tooling that let the team deliver faster and with higher quality: local dev setup, CI/CD, test automation, preview and test environments, logging and monitoring.
• Coaching: Coach developers through pair work, code review and technical walkthroughs, so the level of the whole team rises rather than the work concentrating on the strongest individuals, and remove single points of failure on critical parts of the solution.
• Technical Point of Contact: Act as technical point of contact towards other teams, 3rd parties, the project manager and the UX designer.

Conformity Criteria:

• A minimum of 8 years working experience in software engineering, of which minimum 3 years as tech lead, lead developer or solution designer within a delivery team
• Demonstrable production experience with Next.js and React in TypeScript, minimum 2 projects
• Demonstrable production experience with Sitecore in a headless setup
• Demonstrable working experience with .NET 8 or higher for backend services
• Minimum 2 days per week onsite
• C1 level (or equivalent) proficiency in spoken and written English

• Software Architecture & Codebase Integrity: Sets and enforces architecture on a product already in build-out, handles technical debt, reduces duplication and maximises reuse
• Sitecore Headless: Applies XM Cloud, Headless Services / JSS or Content SDK, Experience Edge in production
• Frontend Proficiency: Applies Next.js, React and TypeScript effectively, including rendering strategy and performance
• Cloud & CI/CD: Applies Azure hosting, environment management and CI/CD pipelines
• Requirement Shaping & Dependencies: Shapes stories before development starts, surfaces dependencies early enough to prevent blocked work
• Coaching: Raises the technical level of a team through code review, pairing and knowledge sharing

Consultancy Nature of Work:

This is a consultancy engagement delivered by Keystone Solutions. You will collaborate on-site at the client location a minimum of two days per week and work closely with client stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and third-party vendors under Keystone Solutions' consultancy model.

Onsite Expectation:

Minimum two days per week at the client site, collaborating directly with stakeholders as a Keystone Solutions consultant.
