Senior Contract Specialist

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Contract Specialist to join a leading international technology business.

This role will take ownership of complex and high-value renewals across a designated territory, providing expert guidance on contract and quoting processes while proactively identifying commercial risks and opportunities. The successful candidate will also act as a subject matter expert for renewals operations, supporting process improvements, data integrity and forecasting accuracy across the wider quote-to-cash lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end renewal lifecycle for a designated territory, including renewals, terminations, amendments, corrections and complex or high-value customer accounts.
• Own communication with customers and Sales teams to ensure renewal timelines are achieved, proactively identifying risks and driving early engagement to protect revenue.
• Provide advanced support on contract terms, pricing scenarios and product or service clarifications for potential and existing customers.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of CPQ data and renewal forecasts through proactive collaboration with Finance, Sales, Deal Desk and Product teams.
• Analyse customer history, product usage, pricing exceptions and contract structures to validate commercial accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead data quality initiatives across CRM and financial systems, supporting data clean-up, system conversions and system enhancement projects.
• Create and maintain advanced reporting and insights covering renewal performance, forecast accuracy, operational trends and key process metrics.
• Act as a subject matter expert for renewals operations, providing guidance, mentoring and support to colleagues across the wider team.
• Lead and contribute to process optimisation initiatives designed to streamline quote-to-cash workflows, improve efficiency and reduce operational friction for internal stakeholders and customers.
• Partner with Deal Desk on complex approvals, escalated quoting requirements and commercial exceptions, acting as the primary back-up for higher-level Deal Desk activities.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and contribute to cross-functional projects in support of wider business objectives.
• Provide regular updates against operational goals, including detailed renewal forecasts, pipeline information and risk assessments.

The ideal candidate would have

• A degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 3+ years' experience within sales operations, renewals, sales support, finance, Deal Desk, contract administration or legal support in a corporate environment.
• Strong experience working with CRM and Quote-to-Cash processes, with Apttus or Salesforce CPQ experience highly advantageous.
• Demonstrable experience managing complex renewals, contract scenarios, amendments or commercial exceptions.
• Experience working with software-based solutions, ideally within a technology-led environment.
• Previous experience within a fast-paced technology or healthcare organisation would be advantageous.
• Experience within the healthcare industry, with an understanding of EDI and/or eCommerce, would be desirable.
