Job description

At Polysense, we help food producers see their production lines differently. Our computer vision systems watch, analyse, and understand production in real time, taking tedious manual checks off quality operators' plates. With AutoControl, we go a step further: optimising process parameters so product quality hits spec, every time.

We've just closed our seed round (Felix Capital, Fortino Capital) and we're moving from a handful of flagship deployments (La Lorraine Bakery Group, Agristo, Fourneo) to running Qualify and AutoControl across many more plants and customers.

You're Polysense's first dedicated Product hire, and are the person who turns our product vision into an executable roadmap.

You'll work side-by-side with the CTPO and co-founder:

• No existing product org to slot into, so you're the one building it.

• You're right next to where the strategy is defined, not several layers removed from it.

• The CTPO sets the vision and direction; you turn it into a roadmap that scales, and build the muscle for how Polysense does discovery, prioritisation, and delivery as we grow.

What you'll be doing

• Turning direction into a scalable roadmap: once the CTPO sets the priorities for Qualify and AutoControl, you sequence the work, tightening the loop between what Delivery hits in the field and what Engineering builds next, and translating flagship-site learnings into a roadmap that holds up across many more plants and customers.

• Owning triage: delivery requests, engineering asks, and incoming signal from Sales (including what lands in the CTPO's DMs) all come through you first. You capture it, organise it, and propose what's worth doing and in what order.

• Shaping the Intelligence Layer: alongside Qualify and AutoControl, you'll help shape how our intelligence layer (the layer that turns raw production data into insight and action) takes form, working closely with the CTPO on what it should do and how it fits with our existing products.

• New Use-Case Experimentation: you'll partner closely with Sales and Pre-Sales to explore and test new use-cases with prospects and customers, figuring out what's worth building next by getting it in front of real production lines fast.

• Running the feedback loop: you own the usability and improvement feedback loop on the existing platform, and you're the one making the scope calls on a given surface (what's in, what's out, and why) before scope creep becomes anyone else's problem.

• Product foundations, both ways: for every major feature, you make sure engineering knows why it's being built (a short doc or a 15-minute conversation) and stay close enough to the dev cycle to track schedule. You also keep a cadence going: a regular retro with engineering, and a habit of translating what's shipped into why it matters for Sales, Marketing, and the rest of the team.

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience in a Product Management role, ideally in B2B SaaS or a technical, industrial, or hardware-adjacent product.

• Time spent in a fast-moving, lower-structure environment (startup or scale-up), not a career built entirely inside large, highly structured organisations.

• Comfortable working directly with engineers on technical products. You don't need to write code, but you understand trade-offs well enough to make good calls under ambiguity.

• Some experience turning input from multiple stakeholders into a coherent, sequenced plan of work.

• Comfortable translating technical/engineering work into a narrative non-technical stakeholders can act on, and the reverse.

• Some experience making in-or-out scope calls with an engineering team, or an equivalent trade-off discipline.

• AI-native and self-sufficient by default: a fast learner who finds answers independently rather than relying on others for the basics.

• Comfortable operating without an established process already in place, and building credibility fast as a new hire.

• Strong communicator who can adjust register across audiences: from engineers to sales to leadership.

• This is a hands-on IC role: you're looking to keep deepening your craft as a PM and take on more scope over time, not fast-track toward a Head of/VP Product title.

Bonus points if you:

• Have worked with computer vision, IoT, or other hardware-adjacent products. Extra bonus if that meant turning sensor or production data into something actionable, via APIs, dashboards, or closed-loop automation, rather than a generic workflow or CRM-style product.

• Have joined an early-stage startup and helped formalise a product function from scratch.

• Have owned the full roadmap-to-execution translation for a technical team before, including building a status or retro cadence from scratch.

• Have acted as the internal bridge across 3+ stakeholder groups (engineering, sales, leadership, customers) in a single role.
