Our client is a well-established, food manufacturing group based in Belgium, specializing in frozen products for retail, foodservice, and industrial customers across Europe. With several production sites and close to 1,000 employees, the company has grown into one of the major players in its market segment, combining a strong entrepreneurial culture with continued international expansion. On behalf of this client, we are looking for a BUYER.

After thorough in-house training, you will become the key point of contact for our network of partner farmers. You will actively contribute to agriculture products sourcing by building lasting relationships with growers and ensuring the quality of crops and supply.

Responsibilities

• You support farmers in their role as quality suppliers and act as a professional advisor on crop guidance.
• You negotiate prices, purchasing terms, and contracts.
• You report using a computerized database and share responsibility for supply planning.
• Your work is split between internal tasks (follow-up, phone calls) and field visits to farmers.

Profile

• You hold a higher education degree in agriculture or horticulture, or equivalent experience.
• You know the agricultural sector and have relevant sales experience.
• You have a strong professional presence and are a communicative person with good interpersonal skills.
• You are well organized, commercially minded, and comfortable with administrative software.
• You are fluent in Dutch and have good command of English, as you'll be working with Dutch-speaking farmers.
