Role overview:

We are looking for a Senior Data Migration & Integration Developer to lead end-to-end data migration and integration activities for large-scale transformation programmes. You will help move critical customer, account, transaction, product, and reference data from legacy systems to modern platforms while safeguarding data quality, integrity, and operational continuity.

This role combines hands-on data analysis and technical delivery with planning, stakeholder coordination, testing, and cutover leadership.

Key responsibilities Data migration leadership:

• Define and execute end-to-end data migration strategies for large-scale transformation programmes.
• Lead data assessment, profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Develop detailed migration plans, runbooks, and cutover strategies.
• Oversee the migration of customer, account, transaction, product, and reference data.
• Plan and manage mock migrations, dress rehearsals, and production migration activities.

Integration management

• Coordinate integration activities across multiple applications and platforms.
• Define system interfaces and integration requirements.
• Support reliable integration among source systems, target applications, middleware, APIs, and external partners.
• Work with enterprise architects and technical leads to establish integration patterns, dependencies, and delivery plans.
• Manage end-to-end integration testing and defect resolution.

Data analysis and mapping

• Perform source-to-target data mapping.
• Analyse legacy data structures and identify migration impacts.
• Define transformation rules and business validation rules.
• Develop reconciliation and data-quality reports.
• Maintain data integrity and consistency throughout the migration lifecycle.

Stakeholder collaboration

• Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, business users, external vendors, and third-party application providers.
• Facilitate workshops to gather migration requirements and agree data mappings.
• Provide clear status reports, risk assessments, and governance updates.

Qualifications and essential skills:

• 8–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong experience delivering large-scale enterprise data migration projects.
• Hands-on expertise in data profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, reconciliation, validation, and cutover planning.
• Experience migrating data from legacy systems to modern platforms.
• Strong SQL and database-querying skills.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, or similar.
• Experience with ETL tools such as IBM InfoSphere DataStage, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Ab Initio.
• Knowledge of API integration, microservices architecture, middleware platforms, ETL processes, data synchronisation, and system interface design.
• Experience with REST and SOAP services and data formats including JSON and XML.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence. xqknzec
• Ability to work effectively across technical and business teams and communicate complex migration topics clearly.
