As a dualoop consultant, you remain part of our team across client mandates. Depending on the context, you may diagnose how an organisation operates, shape a target operating model, lead strategic discovery or work alongside client teams to put change into practice. dualoop helps shape each mandate, supports you through the work and stays accountable for the quality of the engagement.

You will work across different organisations, challenges and ways of working while staying connected to a small senior team. We expect you to form a view, explain the evidence behind it and take ownership of useful progress. You will have room to shape the mandate and method, with peers who test your thinking, offer candid feedback and help you deepen your craft.

Your role

You will join dualoop as a consultant and work within a client organisation as an embedded Senior Product Manager for a defined mandate. You may take responsibility for a product, product area or strategic initiative. You will stay close to customers and users while working day to day with business, design, data and engineering.

Assignments vary. You might shape a new product, strengthen the direction of an existing one, lead discovery around an important decision or help a team move from priorities to delivery. We consider your experience and development goals when shaping assignments, alongside what the client context requires.

This role combines doing and enabling. You will move the product forward while coaching product colleagues through their actual work. You remain part of dualoop throughout the mandate, with peers who challenge your thinking and support the quality of the engagement.

Success means making useful progress on the product mandate while leaving the people around you better equipped to make strong product decisions.

What you will do

• Take ownership of a product or important initiative from problem framing and discovery through prioritisation, delivery, learning and iteration.
• Bring together customer insight, product data, business priorities and technical constraints to make clear product choices.
• Shape the product direction, intended outcomes, roadmap and priorities with the people responsible for delivering and supporting it.
• Work closely with design, engineering, data and business colleagues, giving the team context and helping it resolve trade-offs.
• Build alignment with stakeholders, surface risks and dependencies early, and explain the evidence behind your recommendations.
• Coach and mentor other product people through live work, including problem framing, discovery, product briefs, prioritisation and stakeholder conversations.
• Improve local product practices where they help the mandate, adapting routines and artefacts to the organisation rather than imposing a standard playbook.
• Represent dualoop well, collaborate with other dualoop consultants and bring useful lessons back to our practice.

What you bring

• Typically 5–7 years of hands-on product management experience, primarily with digital products or services.
• Evidence that you have owned a product or meaningful product area across several stages of its lifecycle, rather than only managing a backlog or coordinating delivery.
• Strong discovery, prioritisation and delivery skills, supported by qualitative and quantitative evidence.
• Experience bringing business, design and technology perspectives together around a clear direction.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or developing other product people. Formal line-management experience is welcome but not required.
• The ability to enter an unfamiliar organisation, understand how decisions are made and establish credibility without relying on formal authority.
• Professional fluency in English and either French or Dutch.

Useful, but not essential

• Previous consulting experience.
• Experience across different organisational settings or levels of product maturity.
• Familiarity with product operating models, organisational change, facilitation or training.

This role may not suit you if

• You want to focus on backlog administration without owning the wider product outcome.
• You prefer advisory work that ends with a recommendation rather than staying close to delivery and learning.
• You want a fixed domain and fully prescribed scope, or do not want coaching and capability transfer to be part of your product work.
• You want a 9 to 5 job. We're driven by the impact we make and never look the clock.
• You need a clear path. We expect you to pave your own path and find your way.
