As a Senior Digital Marketing Strategist at SQLI Ghent you turn complex business and marketing challenges into a focused digital strategy. You connect data performance content search social websites CRO marketing automation ecommerce and AI - always with a clear view on what will create the most impact.

You are the strategic link between our clients and our specialists. You understand the disciplines well enough to challenge their recommendations connect their expertise and turn separate inputs into one strong direction. You define priorities trade-offs and investment decisions and translate them into a compelling story that (even not so marketing mature) clients understand believe in and are ready to invest in.

What you will do

• Uncover the real challenge behind a client briefing.

• Develop focused digital marketing strategies across the customer journey and funnel.

• Connect audience content channels platforms data and technology into one coherent approach.

• Decide what to prioritise test postpone or leave out.

• Challenge recommendations from performance data content SEO social CRO and marketing automation specialists.

• Translate strategy into realistic scopes budgets roadmaps KPIs and next steps.

• Build clear persuasive presentations and lead strategic client conversations.

• Shape and pitch solutions for existing clients and new opportunities.

• Stay involved as strategy moves into execution ensuring the original choices remain intact.

Qualifications :

• 5 years of relevant digital marketing experience preferably in an agency or consultancy.

• Deep practical experience in at least one digital discipline and strong knowledge of the wider ecosystem.

• The ability to assess whether data media and specialist recommendations genuinely support the strategic objective.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary digital strategies rather than delivering one isolated channel.

• Strong strategic storytelling and presentation skills.

• Confidence in front of senior clients and the ability to challenge constructively.

• Commercial judgement: you can turn an open question into a credible and sellable solution.

• A pragmatic mindset. Your strategies are ambitious but they can also be delivered.

• Fluency in Dutch and English. French is an advantage.
