Bij KBC IT kom je in een boeiende werkcontext terecht. Onze afdeling Container & Server Platforms levert zelfbeheerbare on‑premises IT‑oplossingen en een beheerd serverplatform voor x86‑servers (Windows & Linux) die bedrijfskritische toepassingen en services ondersteunen. Binnen deze afdeling levert het domein Database Services gestandaardiseerde, veilige en hoogbeschikbare databaseplatformen (o.a. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL ) voor een brede waaier aan applicatieteams.
Het databaselandschap is grootschalig, bedrijfskritisch en sterk gereguleerd. De platformen moeten continu evolueren om te voldoen aan de toenemende eisen op het vlak van security, robuustheid, performantie, automatisatie en compliance, terwijl ze toch gebruiksvriendelijk en consistent blijven voor ontwikkelings- en applicatieteams. Een hele uitdaging, waar jij mee je schouders onder kan zetten!
Als Database Infrastructure Architect ontferm je je over de architectuur van onze databaseplatformen, met een sterke focus op infrastructuur, beschikbaarheid, security en lifecycle‑management .
Je definieert en bewaakt de targetarchitecturen en standaarden voor enterprise database services (scope: open systems – Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL & ExaCC) en zorgt ervoor dat deze veilig, robuust en future‑proof blijven, afgestemd op de noden van zowel de business als de technologie. Wat verwachten we van jou?
- Je definieert en onderhoudt targetarchitecturen voor de databaseplatformen , in lijn met de strategische infrastructuur-roadmaps.
- In nauwe samenwerking met Infrastructure, Security en Operations zorg je ervoor dat oplossingen voldoen aan de behoeften, onderhoudbaar zijn en compliant blijven.
- Je stelt duidelijke documentatie op, zoals architectuuroverzichten, standaarden, beslissingsdocumenten en implementatierichtlijnen.
- Je communiceert over architectural runways en roadmaps naar de betrokken teams en zorgt voor traceerbaarheid van vereisten tot oplevering.
- Je bewaakt architectuurbeslissingen: je biedt ondersteuning bij uitzonderingen en risicobeheer (security/architecture waivers) en bedenkt hoe we risico’s kunnen mitigeren voor security- en operationele uitdagingen.
- Tijdens de uitvoering werk je samen met Product Owners en Scrum Masters om ontwerpkeuzes te sturen en obstakels weg te werken.
- Je draagt bij aan de bredere infrastructuurstrategie door de volgende stappen af te stemmen met collega-infrastructuurarchitecten.
