VS Consulting supports SMEs, mid-sized companies and international groups in transforming and optimizing their Finance functions. As part of our development in Belgium, we are looking for an experienced bilingual Finance Director / Chief Development Officer.

As a true strategic partner to senior executives, you will support our clients in addressing their performance, transformation and growth challenges, while contributing to the firm’s business development. Reporting to the VS Advisory business line, you will play a key role in expanding our presence in the Belgian market.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced bilingual Finance Director / Chief Development Officer, acting as a true strategic partner to senior executives. You will support our clients in their performance, transformation and growth initiatives, while contributing to the firm’s business development and strengthening our presence in the Belgian market.

Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategic Advisory

• Deliver part-time and interim CFO / Finance Director assignments for our clients.
• Advise senior executives on strategic and financial decision-making.
• Drive performance through budgets, forecasts, business plans and KPIs.
• Oversee cash flow, financing and banking relationships.
• Contribute to transformation, M&A and organizational development projects.

Transformation & Operational Excellence

• Optimize financial and management control processes.
• Support the digital transformation of the Finance function.
• Lead ERP implementation projects, particularly Odoo.
• Develop and implement reporting and decision-support tools.

Business Development

• Develop and manage a client portfolio.
• Identify new business opportunities.
• Contribute to commercial proposals and tender processes.
• Support the growth and visibility of VS Consulting in Belgium

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or Business Administration, or equivalent qualification.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in senior Finance roles (CFO, Finance Director, Finance Manager or equivalent).
• Strong expertise in financial management, management control, treasury and transformation.
• Proven experience advising senior executives and executive committees.
• Strong business development and client relationship skills (Big4 experience is a plus).
• Professional proficiency in English and Dutch.
• Strong command of digital tools and ERP systems; knowledge of Odoo is a plus.
• Leadership, autonomy, entrepreneurial mindset and a strong results-oriented approach.
