You will join an established Belgian industrial company specialising in the sourcing and supply of complex mechanical and electronic components for manufacturing customers.

The company acts as a bridge between European engineering and design requirements and international manufacturing, with a strong focus on quality, reliability and customer satisfaction.

The organisation is entrepreneurial and growing, offering you the opportunity to play a key role in further developing its activities in Portugal.

Are you an entrepreneurial professional with experience in sourcing, supplier management, project engineering or technical sales? Do you enjoy building relationships, developing business and taking ownership of a growing market?

In this role, you will combine commercial development, supplier management, project engineering and supply chain coordination. You will act as the key link between the Portuguese supplier network and the company's headquarters in Belgium.

Your responsibilities

  • Build and expand the company's supplier network in Portugal, starting from existing relationships and developing new partnerships.
  • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities in Portugal and across Europe.
  • Manage projects from technical scoping and supplier qualification through production follow-up, quality control and on-time delivery.
  • Act as the day-to-day link between Portuguese suppliers and the Belgian headquarters, ensuring alignment on priorities, capacity, quality and delivery.
  • Work together with engineering teams to assess technical feasibility and translate customer requirements into clear supplier specifications.
  • Follow up on projects, commercial pipeline and supplier performance, reporting to management.
  • Represent the company locally and build the relationships and reputation needed to establish Portugal as a long-term growth market.

Your profile

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and enjoy building something from the ground up.
  • You have a background in project engineering, supply chain, sourcing or technical sales, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • You are commercially driven and enjoy both opening new doors and managing existing relationships.
  • You are fluent in Portuguese and English or Dutch. A strong level of English is a plus due to regular contact with the Belgian headquarters and international customers.
  • You are comfortable working independently, while maintaining regular communication with colleagues in Belgium.
  • You are willing to travel within Portugal and occasionally to Belgium.
