Job Title: Freelance Google Analytics Specialist (1-Year Contract)

Location: Belgium (Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Freelance Google Analytics Specialist to drive data-driven insights and optimize our digital marketing strategies. In this role, you will set up, configure, and analyze Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track user behavior, measure campaign performance, and improve website engagement. Your expertise will help us enhance user experience, increase conversions, and maximize ROI across our digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, configure, and maintain Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) for accurate data collection.
- Track and analyze user behavior, including traffic sources, page views, bounce rates, and conversion funnels.
- Create custom reports, dashboards, and alerts in GA4 to monitor key performance metrics.
- Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, social media, email) using UTM parameters and event tracking.
- Identify trends and insights to optimize website content, user experience, and conversion rates.
- Conduct A/B testing and experiments to test hypotheses and improve performance.
- Integrate GA4 with other tools (e.g., Google Ads, Search Console, BigQuery) for comprehensive analysis.
- Provide actionable recommendations to enhance user engagement, retention, and conversions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

- 3–5 years of experience as a Google Analytics Specialist, Digital Analyst, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
- Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) for event tracking and tag deployment.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing metrics (e.g., CTR, conversion rates, bounce rates).
- Experience with Google Ads, Search Console, and other marketing tools for campaign analysis.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, PowerBI) to create dashboards.
- Familiarity with BigQuery for advanced data analysis (optional but beneficial).
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation tools (e.g., Google Optimize, Optimize 360).
- Certifications such as Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ) or Google Analytics Certification are a strong plus.
- Understanding of data privacy and compliance (e.g., GDPR).

Languages

- Fluent in English (required for collaboration).
- Fluent in French or Dutch (required for client/stakeholder communication).
