Role Overview

Menarini Benelux is looking for a Procurement Manager to own and lead indirect procurement activities across our Pharma, Diagnostics and Oncology businesses.

Reporting directly to the Finance & Administration Director, you will manage an indirect spend portfolio of approximately €10 million, combining hands-on procurement execution with category and supplier management, stakeholder collaboration, governance and continuous improvement.

This is an individual contributor role, working closely with Regional Procurement and Global Category Management to address local business needs and implement applicable global strategies and standards.

What You’ll Work On

Procurement Leadership, Governance & Improvement

• Lead the Benelux indirect procurement agenda across Pharma, Diagnostics and Oncology, and act as the local point of reference for procurement matters.
• Develop procurement plans and sourcing approaches in line with business priorities and applicable Global Procurement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with the Global Procurement Policy, Procedures and Process Book, as well as applicable local requirements.
• Support consistent procurement ways of working across the two business units and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Identify and deliver opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance and broader business value.
• Provide management with clear visibility on procurement spend, savings, supplier performance and key risks.

Category & Sourcing Management

• Lead end-to-end sourcing for locally managed categories, including requirements definition, market assessment, tendering, negotiation, supplier selection and contracting.
• Manage a broad indirect category portfolio including areas such as IT, Facilities, Marketing, Professional Services, Events and Fleet.
• Develop sourcing approaches taking into account business requirements, market conditions, supplier risk and total cost considerations.
• For categories managed strategically by Global Category Management, support the local implementation of global strategies, contracts and supplier decisions.
• Provide local business requirements and market input to Global Category Managers and support stakeholder adoption within Benelux.
• Escalate material local requirements or constraints where alignment with global category direction is needed.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

• Build and manage effective relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
• Monitor supplier performance, service levels and contractual commitments, and follow up on issues where required.
• Support supplier onboarding, qualification and compliance activities in line with Global Procurement requirements.
• Work with key suppliers to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders across Pharma, Diagnostics and Oncology, and involve Procurement early in relevant business decisions.
• Present procurement recommendations clearly, balancing commercial, compliance and business considerations.

Finance, P2P & Digital

• Work closely with Finance on budgeting and forecasting of procurement spend and follow up on key variances where relevant.
• Maintain visibility of savings and cost avoidance initiatives and support appropriate financial follow-up.
• Support the effective application of Procure-to-Pay processes and procurement controls, with clear accountability between requesters, Procurement and Finance.
• Use procurement systems, spend data and digital tools to improve visibility, efficiency and decision-making.
• Contribute to procurement transformation initiatives and the implementation of new processes and tools within Benelux.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Procurement, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Typically, 7+ years of relevant procurement experience, ideally in a multinational or regulated environment.
• Solid experience managing indirect categories and end-to-end sourcing processes.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation, contracting and supplier management skills.
• Good understanding of procurement governance and Procure-to-Pay processes.
• Experience with budgeting, cost forecasting and spend analysis.
• Comfortable working with ERP/procurement systems, spend data, Excel, presentation and AI-enabled tools.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
• Structured, pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach.
• Fluent French, Dutch, and English, both spoken and written (essential for interacting across the Benelux region and at the group level); ideally trilingual, or fluent in French/English or Dutch/English.
