Senior Data Engineer (Azure Data & ETL) - Hybrid

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Data Engineer (Azure Data & ETL) fluent in English, to offer his / her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the companys premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Data Warehouses and Data Models (OLTP & OLAP, star / snowflake schema) using Microsoft Azure;
• Build and optimize ETL / ELT data pipelines with Azure Synapse and Python to ensure efficient, reliable data integration;
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions;
• Define and implement data architecture and governance standards, ensuring compliance with IT security policies and data confidentiality rules;
• Prepare technical and functional documentation, leveraging tools such as UML, ERD, and BPM to support knowledge sharing;
• Manage releases and environments through Azure DevOps, including version control and CI / CD processes;
• Monitor data pipelines and systems, ensuring SLAs are met and providing active incident and business support;
• Ensure quality and reliability by executing automated tests and supporting QA processes;
• Contribute to continuous improvement in data management, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
